Facts and Figures: Boğaziçi University
According to Boğaziçi University's 2023 data, 45% of the student population is female and 55% is male. These data show that the university has taken an important step in monitoring and evaluating the distribution of students by gender. The university has been monitoring gender-disaggregated student data since 2009 and these data are reported annually and shared on the university's homepage. Systematic monitoring and reporting of this data helps to identify potential inequalities between male and female students in university admission, entry and completion rates and to improve these areas. Using this data, Boğaziçi University can identify potential areas of inequality and shape its strategic plans accordingly. In particular, monitoring women's university application, admission and completion rates is critical to determine how the university is progressing in terms of gender equality and which strategies it should focus on in the future. These monitoring studies can strengthen the steps taken towards the university's goal of creating an equitable educational environment and enable it to implement gender equality policies more effectively.

Monitoring the Graduation Rate of Women
Since 2009, Boğaziçi University has been tracking gender- disaggregated student data and publishing annual reports on its homepage. In particular, monitoring the application, admission and graduation rates of female students is critical to assess how the university is progressing in terms of gender equality and to determine which strategies it should focus on in the future.
